Fred M. Roberts
Fred Marke Roberts is an American botanist, underwater photographer and writer. He wrote Basic SCUBA Diving, a 1960 scuba-diving manual, it was among the earliest comprehensive guides to recreational scuba diving and became widely used by sport divers during the 1960s. The son of Fred Max Roberts of Bismarck, North Dakota, he is a resident of Garden Grove, California, he has identified flower varieties and is a published aviation enthusiast.
Fred Marke Roberts[1] is an American botanist, writer and underwater photographer.[2] He wrote Basic Scuba. Self-contained underwater breathing apparatus, a 1960 scuba-diving manual, it was among the earliest comprehensive guides to recreational scuba diving and became widely used by sport divers during the 1960s. A botanist at UC Irvine,[3] he has identified flower varieties.[4][5][6] The son of Fred Max Roberts of Bismarck, North Dakota,[7] he is a resident of Garden Grove, California,[8] and is a published aviation enthusiast.[7][9]
